Why, No, I Will Not be Mourning a White Nationalist

Late last week, Fox News’ Brian Kilmeade stated that homeless people should be killed.

“Or involuntary lethal injection. Or something. Just kill them.”

That’s it.

Oh, don’t take my word for it. Watch the clip yourself.

There’s no sugarcoating this kind of talk. This is just how the Nazis spoke.

In the days that have followed, Kilmeade has received little attention and zero repercussions for this hateful rhetoric. Today, he offered a half-hearted apology that lasted seconds, all delivered as if he was being held at gunpoint.

Meanwhile, those people who accurately quote MAGA podcaster Charlie Kirk, assassinated last week at a Utah college, are losing their jobs and are being threatened with violence.

If I see a Black pilot, I’m going to be like, boy, I hope he’s qualified.

Charlie Kirk

MSNBC’s Matthew Dowd was fired for stating: “He’s been one of the most divisive, especially divisive younger figures in this, who is constantly sort of pushing this sort of hate speech or sort of aimed at certain groups. And I always go back to, hateful thoughts lead to hateful words, which then lead to hateful actions. And I think that is the environment we are in. You can’t stop with these sort of awful thoughts you have and then saying these awful words and not expect awful actions to take place. And that’s the unfortunate environment we are in.”

Comedy Central pulled a “South Park” rerun that parodied Kirk after MAGA blamed the show’s creators for his assassination.

Here in Massachusetts, three school districts are investigating teachers for their comments on social media regarding Kirk’s death.

On black women:

You do not have the brain processing power to otherwise be taken really seriously. You had to go steal a white person’s slot to go be taken somewhat seriously.

– Charlie Kirk

Color me confused:

Kirk’s worshippers praise him as a champion of free speech, but free speech does not apparently apply to people who actually listened to him. We’re all supposed to bow down and accept him as our lord and savior.

Happening all the time in urban America, prowling Blacks go around for fun to go target white people, that’s a fact. It’s happening more and more.

Charlie Kirk

It’s not that you can’t criticize Kirk; apparently you can’t quote Kirk without bringing down the wrath of MAGA.

I’d never heard the word “corpsewashing” until last week, but it describes how all mainstream media is depicting Kirk. They revere him without ever cataloguing exactly what he preached.

“We need armed militias to prevent the diminishing and decreasing of white demographics.”

– Charlie Kirk

To Kirk, women were second-class citizens. When Taylor Swift announced her engagement, he said. “Reject feminism. Submit to your husband, Taylor. You’re not in charge.”

“LGBTQ is a social contagion.”

– Charlie Kirk

The LGBTQ community was a frequent target. He said stoning gays was “God’s perfect law.” He called transgender acceptance “a throbbing middle finger to God.” He fantasized about seeing rainbow flags burned in public.

We need to have a Nuremberg-style trial for every gender-affirming clinic doctor. We need it immediately.

Charlie Kirk

His organization Turning Point created and maintains the Professor Watchlist, a list of college instructors believed to be leftists with unAmerican values. The site includes photos of the teachers as well as employer contact information. You can guess the results. One professor, Stacey Patton, has shared the vile abuse she has endured since being named to the list.

Charlie Kirk was not a debater. Kirk talked over his momentary college campus sparring partners who were young and easily bulldozed by his years of practiced patter and gaslighting. When he was shot in Utah, he was in the middle of one of his familiar swerves, that most mass shootings are a product of gang violence, one of his favorite go-to racist dog whistles.

I think it’s worth it to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the second amendment to protect our other God-given rights. That is a prudent deal. It is rational.

Charlie Kirk

More than one thing can be true at the same time:

First, gun violence is an epidemic in this country, and no one deserves to be shot to death, any time, anywhere.

Second, Charlie Kirk was an asshole who became a millionaire by using his platform to spread hate. In death, he becomes a martyr and his followers only more ferocious.

This country has much to fear.
