Check out ‘Supergirl’s’ amazing promo for ‘Wonder Woman’

Supergirl, Wonder Woman and Lois Lane walk into a bar ….

That’s the premise for this great, loopy one-of-a-kind promo CW cooked up for the new “Wonder Woman” film.

It was a surprise when it aired during the “Supergirl” season finale earlier this week. Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) has been fighting her arch-enemy Rhea (Teri Hatcher) while the president (Lynda Carter) works to repel the Daxamite invasion.

But clearly somebody at CW saw an epic chance to bring together Supergirl, the original Wonder Woman (Carter) and Lois Lane (Hatcher) for this trippy salute to DC’s first stand-alone female super-hero film. I love it.

And the early word on “Wonder Woman” is good, too. Maybe the Amazon can shatter that box office glass ceiling.

Marvel vs. DC 2017

DC’s ‘Suicide Squad’ provides clues to Marvel’s troubles.

Marvel Comics has a diversity problem.

The company employs too many morons.

By now, I’m sure you’ve had your fill of the Marvel marketing dunderhead who blamed Marvel’s falling sales and its shrinking share of the marketplace on its female and minority heroes.

But the real problem lies not with its nontraditional heroes but with its approach to selling them, and this all became apparent when I watched the Warner Bros. film “Suicide Squad.”

And yet one of the most horrific acts of violence, one that has stayed with this reader all these years, centered on the flipping of an urn.

It remains distressing to this very day.

Beware, evildoers! Batman is – wait. Did he just wink at me?

“The LEGO Batman Movie” deserves to win the Best Picture Oscar.

No, “The LEGO Batman Movie” deserves to win all the Oscars.

Sure, the film doesn’t hit theaters until Feb. 10, but I am confident it is the best film either you or I will ever see in our lifetimes.

Thank You, Mr. President

Dear President Obama,

As a child of the ’60s, I’ve seen my share of presidents – some good, some bad, some well-meaning, some corrupt.

Like many of my generation, I have a cynical view of politicians. The word seems to suggest, if not a charlatan, then certainly an opportunist.

You changed that and more.

When you became the 44th president of the United States in 2009, you inherited an economy in crisis and a country fighting two wars in the Middle East.

As the first African-American leader of the free world, you faced unparalleled opposition from Republicans, who vowed to thwart your every initiative even before you took the oath of office.
