IMDb’s list of Top 10 TV shows will surprise you

When you think of the Top 10 TV shows of all time, what comes to mind?

“The Sopranos”? “Breaking Bad”? “Game of Thrones”?

Would it surprise you to learn that only one of those shows made to the Top 10 TV shows of all time, as ranked by more than 80 million registered users of imdb.com?

Only “Breaking Bad” cracked the Top 10 on IMDb – the Internet Movie Database. It finished an impressive No. 4 overall.

“Game of Thrones” just missed out, finishing out at No. 11. That’s still good, considering how fans loathed the final season of the HBO fantasy drama.

Scripted shows only made up four slots in the Top 10 – with the highest ranking, the World War II-set miniseries “Band of Brothers,” coming in at No. 3.

Viewers who rely on the site really love their documentaries. Six of the ten slots go to documentaries. Scripted shows took the other four slots.

David Attenborough’s “Planet Earth II” ranks at No. 1.

‘Stargirl’: Parent-teacher nights are murder

How do you defeat a murderous mindreader with savage telekinetic powers?

Stargirl (Brec Bassinger) takes on one of the Justice Society’s most notorious foes in this week’s episode.

She has no training, no battle experience, and her cosmic staff seems to have a mind of its own.

This sure seems like it’s going to be over quickly – for Stargirl.

Andy Cohen steps in it because he’s Andy Cohen

Andy Cohen just couldn’t resist.

On a special celebrating the soaps, the Bravo producer and host declared them dead.

Cohen was one of the many celebrity guests interviewed for ABC’s “The Story of Soaps” earlier this week. While such notables as John Stamos and Bryan Cranston raved about the quality and the work ethic involved, Cohen couldn’t resist throwing dirt on the parade.

‘Stargirl’: In defense of Stripesy

There’s a moment that haunts from the premiere of the new DC Universe/CW series “Stargirl.”

Stripesy – Pat Dugan (Luke Wilson) – has just rescued his partner/mentor/presumed pal Starman (Joel McHale) from a massacre at the Justice Society headquarters at the hands of the Injustice Society.

Starman, alas, is dying and begs Stripesy to protect his cosmic staff.

“The Justice Society must live on. Its legacy must survive. Someone with honor, strength, must carry the torch.”

What is ‘Batwoman’ without Ruby Rose? How six shows survived losing their stars

The Arrowverse has been rocked by Ruby Rose’s decision to exit CW’s “Batwoman” after the show’s first season.

Both Rose and CW paint it as an amicable split, even if the reasons for her exit are unclear.

The network will recast, and producer Greg Berlanti has promised that the ground-breaking role of the lesbian crimefighter will go to another member of the LGBTQ community.

Still, it’s a huge loss and risk for the network. “Batwoman” is CW’s third most-watched series, behind “The Flash” and the final season of “Arrow.”

Here’s how six other shows have dealt with losing their leads:
