Queen Latifah will star in CBS' "Equalizer"

CBS announces ‘Equalizer’ reboot with a royal twist

CBS is bringing back “The Equalizer” – with an intriguing twist.

The ’80s hit starred Edward Woodward as an ex-spy weary of all the cloak-and-dagger games.

Yet he was more committed than ever to helping people who had no other options find justice.

CBS is bringing back the show this fall – and starring Queen Latifah as the new champion of the little guy.

That will get a lot of attention.

John Krasinski, "SomeGoodNews"

John Krasinski reunites ‘The Office’ cast for the most romantic reason ever

John Krasinski remains the gift who keeps on giving – and last night, he gave us “The Office” reunion we’ve been clamoring for.

On his YouTube series “SomeGoodNews,” or SGN, as he calls it, Krasinski surprised a couple, Susan and John, who re-enacted his character Jim’s proposal to Pam (Jenna Fischer).

“You now have proved that proposal works a hundred percent of the time now,” he told them.

Then he told the “Office” superfans that he had gotten ordained as a minister just for them, and they had to get married right now.

Alec Baldwin’s Trump surprises graduates in SNL finale

President Trump (Alec Baldwin) shocked online graduates of Saint Mary Magdalene-by-the-Expressway when he popped up as their commencement speaker on the May finale of NBC’s “Saturday Night Live.”

He was so honored to be their “vale-dictator.” He apologized for his appearance – he had to resort to a Liza Minnelli Tik-Tok tutorial to do his own makeup.

He drank from a Clorox bottle – “good ole invincibility juice” – and had a few choice words of advice for the graduates.

“Surround yourself always with the worst people you can find. That way, you’ll always shine … Live every day like it’s your last, ’cause we’re gonna let this virus run wild.”

Is this Baldwin’s last appearance as Trump?

How to fix ‘Dynasty’

Last night, through no plan or fault of its own, CW’s “Dynasty” aired its third season finale. The Coronavirus crisis shut down production before the cast and crew could film the final two episodes of the season.

Spoiler alert!

In last night’s episode, “My Hangover’s Arrived,” directed by Gina Lamar and written by Francisca X. Hu, Fallon (Elizabeth Gillies) and her “bride tribe” had to re-create their steps after a drunken bachelorette party left her convinced she had married a stranger. Back in Atlanta, Adam (Sam Underwood) tried to undermine Blake’s (Grant Show) business dealings; Anders (Alan Dale) learned troubling things about Adam’s past in Montana; and Alexis (Elaine Hendrix) moved to thwart Jeff (Sam Adegoke) from ending their marriage of convenience.

There wasn’t much of a cliffhanger – or even a dramatic stinger – but you can’t blame the cast and the crew for that. But even after three seasons, “Dynasty” still struggles to forge its own identity.

George Reeves, Superman

‘The Adventures of Superman’: That time Superman got two people killed over his secret identity

Everyone knows the Man of Steel has one rule:

The hero who stands for truth, justice, and the American way never kills.

Or does he?

A classic episode of “The Adventures of Superman” suggests he at the very least contributed to the deaths of two people.

In “The Secret Costume” (original air date Dec. 12, 1952), written by Ben Peter Freeman, a burglar, Johnny Sims (Norman Budd), stumbles into the apartment of Clark Kent (George Reeves) and discovers his secret closet containing but one item – his Superman outfit.
